James A. Agnew

James A. Agnew, 72 passed away unexpectedly with his loving family by his side. He was born August 16, 1945. He was the son of James J. Agnew and Mary L. Agnew (Conners). On June 13, 1970 he was united in marriage with Margaret (Peggy) Rosio. She survives.
He was employed at the Town of Black Brook Highway Department & was the head chef at the Clinton Dining Hall at SUNY Plattsburgh until he became visually impaired. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and baseball especially the NY Giants and the NY Yankees. He also loved spending time watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with his dog Abby. He was known as Elvis when he was at the Lake City Skating Rink.
Besides his beautiful wife, he is survived by his son Kevin Agnew and his Wife Patty, daughter Chastity and her fiancé Scott McLaughlin, daughter Nichole Varno and her husband Jim, daughter Marnie Collin & son James E. Agnew and his wife Tammy. His grandchildren Briaunna Varno, Robert James Varno (predeceased), Austin Varno, Tasha LaRock, Cody LaRock and his wife Brittany, Nathan LaRock, & Brandon Agnew, a sister Jean Agnew, brother in-law and sister in laws Bill & Barbara Smith of Keeseville, Mary & Howard Frenia of Florida. He is also survived by several great grandchildren & several nieces and nephews.
There will be No Calling Hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made in Jim’s memory to The National Federation of the Blind.
