Joseph G. Rock, 81, of Granbury, TX, passed away Friday January 26, 2018 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Champlain on August 10, 1926 son of the late John and Cora (Bouyea) Rock.
Joseph served his country in the US Army and merchant Marines. His main career was piloting ships through the Panama Canal from 1985 to 2005.
Joseph is survived by his wife Lilliian “Janet” Rock of Texas, one son Eric Rock of PA., three daughters; Eve Runk of PA., Chrystal Rock of MO., Christy Braswell of TX., two sisters; Rita and Alice, grandchildren; Stephen, Amanda, Elliott, Luke and Samuel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son Joseph Rock, three brothers; George, William and John, three sisters; Rose, Louise and Hazel.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday May 25, 2018 at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
