Arthur F. Kintz

June 22, 1927 — February 4, 2018

Arthur F. Kintz, 90, of Baltimore Way, Plattsburgh, NY died peacefully at home with his wife and daughter by his side on Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 22, 1927, the son of Lewis and Helen (Klecka) Kintz.
Arthur was a quiet, sweet man. He was profoundly creative and inventive. He had a lifelong love of learning, self-taught. He drew, wrote, studied and pondered. He was socially conscious and progressive in his concerns for others and the environment. His gentle, smiling eyes conveyed empathy and a good sense of humor.
Arthur enjoyed reading, watching television and movies, drawing, languages, symbols, nature, art, gardening, walking, cycling, hiking and sitting on the front porch. He was delighted by the antics of the family cats. He was a devoted husband and father.
Arthur was a corporal in the Army during the Korean conflict. He moved to Boston, MA in the 1960’s and married Fernande (Cote) in 1971. They had one child, daughter Kristina. He spent most of his career as a clerk with Massachusetts Association of Older Americans and later at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital. Arthur and Fern moved to Plattsburgh, NY in 2003 when they retired.
Left to cherish Arthur’s memory is his wife Fernande, his daughter Kristina and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Special thanks to Dr. William Pelton, the staff of R7 at UVM-CVPH and Hospice of North Country.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
