Brooks W. Latremore, Jr., 79, of battery Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday September 2, 2021 at UVM Health Network, CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 30, 1942 son of the late Brooks W. and Alice (Gadway) Latremore.
Brooks is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the US Navy from 1961-1965. He was employed by the New York State Department of Transportation for 30 years retiring as General Foreman in 1996. Brooks enjoyed reading, camping, museums, the Akwesasne Casino and Saratoga Horse Racing. He especially adored spending time with his grandchildren.
Brooks is survived by two daughters, Jeanna Plympton and her husband Bill of Plattsburgh, Lisa Latremore of Plattsburgh, a granddaughter, Elisabeth Plympton, two grandsons, Ryan Kenny, Benjamin Ladeiu and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Michael Brooks Latremore.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday September 13, 2021 from St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in St. Alexander’s Cemetery with full military honors.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
