Catherine Olivia Cross, 87, of Mineville, NY passed away on March 9, 2015 following a brief illness.
Catherine Sturm was born on February 25,1928 in St. Louis, MO. She was the daughter of Amelia Sturm and beloved niece of Oscar and Olivia Munter. She graduated from high school in St. Louis in 1946. In her younger years, she worked in retail and was a bookkeeper . She was a homemaker,mother and friend.
She enjoyed years of fellowship and fraternity as a member of the New York OES Laeticia Chapter #263 in Mineville, NY and later in Ticonderoga .
She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Cross in 1995.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Reynolds of Floral, Arkansas, Melinda Rabideau of Gorham, Maine and Tina DiScuillo of Mineville,NY, her grandchildren Ward Hanna, John Hanna, Zachary Rabideau, Christopher Gregory, Margot Foster and Derek DiScuillo and 8 great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service and interment later this spring at the Lewis Cemetery in Lewis NY.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Marvin Heald Funeral Home ,Elizabethtown NY.
