Charles E. Smith 75 of Elizabethtown, Essex Co., and formerly of Hudson died in Elizabethtown Tuesday September 9, 2014.
Charles was born March 1, 1939 in Craryville the son of the late George and Mabel Smith.
He had worked at L & B of Hudson and for many years at The Freeman Press in Albany. Charles loved spending time with his family, and friends and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
Survivors include two sisters Eleanor and Shirley; sons; David (Cindy) Smith, Ricky Smith and two daughters Kim Smith and Sandy Smith. In addition he is survived by his step children; Kathy (Paul) Hanway, Cindy (Jerry) Pulsifer, Beverly Pulsifer, Tim (Becky) Pulsifer, Bill Pulsifer, Robin Merrill, David Gough, Sheri Dominy, Dawn Roberts and Shirley Mae (Jason) Mabb, 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Shirley A. Smith, a brother Gerald (jerry) Smith and sister Barbara Russo.
A celebration of his life will be 1 to 3 pm Saturday September 20, 2014 at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of Germantown with services at 3 pm.
