Clarence Curry

Morrisonville Mr. Clarence J. Curry, 72, of Rand Hill Road in Morrisonville passed away Wednesday September 4, 2013 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh April 16, 1941 son of the late Norman and Eva (LaTour) Curry. Clarence met his wife, the former Loretta Short, in Plattsburgh and they later married September 16, 1960. Clarence worked as a cook for the F.W. Woolworth Company, CVPH Medical Center and Clinton County Nursing Home. Clarence’s enjoyments in life were; working in his tree lot, gardening, taking pictures of nature and family,, and spending his free time at the Indian reservations casinos with his wife and friends. Clarence is survived by his wife Loretta Curry, one daughter Laurie Curry, four sons: Michael Curry and his wife Vickey, Daniel Curry and his wife Karen, Rick Curry and his wife Alyson, Patrick Curry, two sisters: Marylyn Corrow, Betty Frederick and her husband Gerald, three brothers in law: Albert Fasano, Donald Dominy, Donald Short, two sisters in law: Janet Caulkins, Deloras Short, eight grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara Fredericks, brothers Henry and Francis Curry, and brother in laws, Lawrence Corrow, Richard Calkins, Robert Short, Leonard Short, Gary Short and sisters in law Debra Fasano and Loraine Dominy. At Clarence’s request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday September 7, 2013 at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Entombment will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court St. Plattsburgh.
