Edgar E. "Bud" Bashaw

November 9, 1931 — April 11, 2021

Edgar E. (Bud) Bashaw, 89, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2021 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown. He was the widow of the late Dorothy J. (Clark) Bashaw they were married 59 years. He was born in Willsboro on November 9, 1931 to the late Edgar A. and Ethel (Desourdy) Bashaw.

Edgar was proud of his service to this country. He was in the Army and is a Korean war veteran. He was also proud of his career at Pratt and Whitney where he earned his GED, graduated machinist school. He was a Supervisor until he retired after 28 years.

He is survived by his daughters Cora Severance of Tx., Bonnie (Louis) Sampt, JuneMarie (Ronald) Leonard and Katherine (Andrew) Davy all of Ct. His sisters Mary Ratliff and Evelyn Dickinson, his brothers Harry, Verne, Fred and Oril Bashaw. He was grandpa to 9 granddaughters, 3 grandsons as well as being a great-grandpa and a great great-grandpa. Many nieces and nephews.

Edgar was predeceased by his brother William, his sisters Annabel Bushey, Ethel Mattox and most recently Dorothy Montville. His son Joseph, daughters Donna Ramonas, Melanie Cocca, Cynthia Bernabi, twin granddaughters Rebecca and Tonya, his grandson Robert A Cocca Jr.

He will be laid to rest with a Military graveside service on June 19th at Essex county veteran's cemetery in Westport at 10:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. followed by a double graveside services for his daughters Melanie Cocca and Cynthia Bernabi at the Lewis cemetery 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
