Chazy - Freda C Stone, of Rt 9 Chazy N.Y. passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at UVHN/CVPH in Plattsburgh N.Y. She was born in Plattsburgh on October 16, 1931 the daughter of the late Alfred and Colombe (LeJeune)LaRose.
Freda married Jean E Stone on April 16, 1955 at St Peter’s church Plattsburgh N.Y. Aside from being the most devoted housewife and mother, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, puzzles and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, she also always had “kisses” available. She was an active member of West Chazy Community Church spending many years volunteering at West Chazy Holiness Camp ground, helping to keep our children on God’s path.
Freda was predeceased by sisters, Dora LaRose, Agnes Lovece & Blondine Peters, a niece Pat Lovece and a granddaughter, Angela Stone.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda LaMoy of Chazy, N.Y., Susanne Stone of Lugoff S.C., two sons, Steven Stone of Chazy, N.Y., Brian Stone of Plattsburgh, N.Y., nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren with two more soon to arrive. Two sisters, Marjorie LaRose of Plattsburgh, N.Y.,Anita Reynolds of Champlain N.Y. and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 9:00 to 11:00 at West Chazy Community Church in West Chazy. A funeral service will follow at 11:00. Entombment will be 1:30 PM at the Whispering Maples Mausoleum, Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the West Chazy Community Church Benevolent Fund.
