Gloria R. LaVigne, 87, of Cumberland Head passed away Tuesday August 12, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on September 22, 1926 daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth (Travis) Stetz.
Gloria was devoted to her late husband, child, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Janis Hoy and her husband Ron of Plattsburgh, three grandsons; Jeremy Hoy of Plattsburgh, Ryan Hoy and his wife Jess of Plattsburgh, and Ronald Hoy of Plattsburgh, three great granddaughters; Chelsea Bechard-Hoy, Lydia Hoy and Sara Hoy, one great grandson; Riley Hoy, two brothers; Bill Stetz and his wife Shirley of Plattsburgh, George Stetz and his wife Sandy of Maiden, NC., one sister in law Velma Locklin of Plattsburgh, several nieces and nephews and a special family friend Candace Lucas. She is predeceased by her husband Fred LaVigne, and three sisters; Helen Dadouses, Jeanette Stokes and Brenda Stetz.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday August 19, 2014 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy.
In lieu of flowers donation in Gloria’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
