Howard D. Wilkins, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, At the Arbor’s Senior Living community. He was born in Keene, NY. On August 29, 1928, the son of Ralza and Ethel (Sibley) Wilkins.
Howard spent his early years in Keene until his family moved to Hartford, CT. there he graduated from Hartford High. He worked his senior year for First National Grocery stores rising to the level of Superintendent of 21 stores, he continued with them for many years. He then changed company’s (Grand Union) to finish out his carrier again as a District Manager.
Howard married Dorothy (Dewald) on June 10, 1947. He is survived by wife Dorothy, his son Donald, daughter-in-law Gail, granddaughter Cyndi, and great-granddaughter Lyvia.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street in Elizabethtown.
In lieu of flowers for those who wish, the family suggests memorial contributions in Howard’s memory may be made to Keene Fire and Rescue, Keene, NY 12942or Shelburne Rescue, PO Box 254, Shelburne, VT. 05482.
