Jaqueline Mary Nisoff

August 19, 1923 — April 2, 2014

Jacqueline Mary Nisoff "Jackie" passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in North Bennington, VT where she was living with one of her daughters.

Jackie was born in Brisbane, Queensland Australia on May 19, 1923. She grew up in several towns in Queensland and met her future husband David H. Nisoff in Townsville where he was serving with the US 5th Air Corp during WW II. They were married in 1942 and Jackie emigrated to the US in 1943. Jackie settled in the Plattsburgh, NY area where her husband was from, and resided in the area until August 2013 when she moved to Vermont to live with her daughter.

Jackie was predeceased by her husband David and a daughter Jacqueline. Jackie is survived by four children David J. Nisoff of Plattsburg, NY, Marilyn Nisoff Funkhouser of Burke, VA, John J. Nisoff of Durham, NC and Heather Nisoff Bullock of North Bennington, VT. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 43 Court Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, 1 Church Street, Morrisonville, NY 12962.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations in Jackie's name may be made to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, Southwestern Vermont Health Care, 1128 Monument Avenue, Bennington, VT 05201.
