John Perry

MORRISONVILLE- Mr. John B. Perry, 88, of Victory Place in Plattsburgh, passed away with his loving family at his side Tuesday December 3, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada, on February 14, 1925, son of the late Burton John and Mayme (Gollegly) Perry. He attended Ecole Gerard and Gault Institute in Valleyfield. Following graduation from St. Francis de Sales High School in Utica, NY he served three years in the U.S.Army Engineers, serving in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany receiving a Honorable Discharge in April, 1946.He was employed by R H Donnelly Corp. and L M Berry Co. and retired from A Greenhouse Inc., in 1991. Since his retirement he has been a volunteer at CVPH Medical Center, a certified Ombudsman and a charter member of Mended Hearts of CVPH. Survivors are his daughters and son-in-laws, Kathy Rabideau of Plattsburgh, Marjorie and Bruce Boissey of Cadyville, Suzanne and Timothy Haley of Cadyville, and Caroline and Greg Buckley of Saranac; 11 grandchildren, Theresa Perry of Atlanta Ga., Kari Pearsall, Jennifer King,and Kristopher Boissey, Patricia Haley, Laura Lee Cordick of Cadyville, Sarah Buckley of Atlanta, Ga., Mary, Kristina, Alicia and Robert Buckley. Eleven great-grandchildren Dylan Boissey, Noah Pearsall, Alexander, Grace and Eden King and Elizabeth, Lauren and Brock Boissey, Helena Cordick and Leighanna and Karina Buckley. His nephew A. Brian Zampier and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, A son Douglas John, A brother George I Perry, three sisters and their husbands, Anna and George Amos, Edna and Stanley Jasek, and Betty and Andy Zampier. Calling hours will be from 5-7 pm Thursday December 5, 2013 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be Friday December 6, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in St Agnes Cemetery in Utica, NY.
