Kenneth Clayton Sayre

February 10, 1982 - May 15, 2020

Kenneth Clayton Sayre, 38 of Sayre Road passed away May 15th,2020. He was born on February 10th,1982 in Plattsburgh, NY. He attended Westport Central School and graduated with a regents diploma and attended Morrisville SUNY college. In May of 2002, he was a crew member of the Montana Conservation Corps. He did reconstruction and maintenance of trails. Ken also worked for the Califonia Conservation Corps(ccc). He completed backcountry trails in 2003 where is lived in tents for six months working in remote locations to improve trails and correct erosion issues in Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Glacier National parks. Food and supplies were delivered by mules to the remote locations. Ken arrived at San Lois Obispo center at a trying time for the camp. Due to state budget concerns, The camp was scheduled to close. Ken and others empowered themselves to educate the community of the value of the CCC. Among many things ken started and maintained a website to educate the public and save the camp from closure. The camp was spared from closure. After returning home ken had his own computer repair business. Bits n Pieces pc repair. He was very proficient in computer and hardware and software issues. Ken had a big gentle and loving heart. He had a soft spot for animals. especially cats. He is going to be missed by so many of his friends and family. He often mentored other people with their problems. putting them above all else. Ken is survived by his parents, David and Tracey (Wrisley) Sayre, His brothers, Jason (Heather) Sayre of Utah, Eric, (Kathleen) Sayre of Virginia, Kevin (Marybeth) Sayre of Westport. His nieces and Nephews, Olivia, David, Alyssa, Nathan, Zoey Kaleb, Noah, and Olden Sayre. As well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. As well his step-grandmother Jessie Sayre He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Harold and Dorothy(Oakes) Sayre, and maternal grandparents Donald and Barbara(Vaughan) Wrisley. A memorial and celebration of life service will be held for family and friends Saturday June 27, 2020 in the Riverside Cemetery In Wadhams. Those wishing to honor Ken may make donations to the charity of their choice.
