Kevin Barber

Kevin J. Barber, 50, of Daniels Way passed away Friday October 25, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center under the gentle and caring hands of the staff on R-5 and with his family and companion by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on December 5, 1962 son of Russell and Susan (Riel) Barber. Kevin served his country in the U.S. Navy. He lived in Florida for several years returning home in 1997. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and relaxing on the front porch reminiscing. Kevin is survived by his parents Susan Daniels and step father Jerry Daniels of Plattsburgh, one son Austin Barber of Tamarac, Fl., four siblings; Jay Barber of Orlando, Fl., Kimberly Schneider and her husband Brian of Guilderland, Shelly Rascoe and her husband Mike of Plattsburgh, Shantel Liberty and her husband Joe of Saranac, his companion Lisa Frenyea of Plattsburgh, eight nieces and nephews; Emily, Olivia, Josh, Alyson, Zach, Jeremiah, Nicholas and Abigail. Calling hours will be Monday October 28, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 Am at Heald Funeral Home , 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 in the Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
