Leaneul A. "Lee" Parrotte

August 18, 1932 — March 28, 2022

Leaneul A. Parrotte, 89, died peacefully amongst family on March 28, 2022, at CVPH Medical Center. He was born August 18,1932 in Redford, the son of Edmund and Mary (Racicot) Parrotte.
Lee graduated from Sallaz Academy, Class of 1949 and then attended Oblate Seminary College in Bar Harbor, Maine. He served in the US Navy from 1951-1955 aboard the USS Oriskany. After the Navy, he fell in love and married Norma Langlois. They celebrated 63 years of marriage in August.
Lee owned and operated the service station on the corner of North Catherine and Broad Street where he worked for 42 years. Lee bought the business from Exxon in 1983. He loved people and was always there to help anyone who came into the station. He was well known in the community for his honesty and integrity. Many a customer bought him gifts of gratitude in addition to payment for services. Lee served his community in many ways, even while working. He worked the Bingo concession stand at Mount Assumption Institute where he was also a caller for many years. He taught confirmation classes and was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at St. Peter's Church.
After retirement, Lee enjoyed working for several years in the Café at CVPH Medical Center and then volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 15 years, working until he was 80. He loved his family and was cherished by them. He will be remembered for his many large parties at "The Lot of the Good Shepard" with bonfires enjoyed by family, friends and relatives. Also for his joy of mountain climbing with his kids, how he enjoyed a good joke, doing crossword puzzles and going out to restaurants. He was a very intelligent man who was a word smith and was always working to acquire knowledge.
Even as he worked at the service station, Lee attained a real estate license and also studied law. He even passed the test to be a Postal Worker. He was adept at anything he chose to learn.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 6 brothers, Elric, Alfred, Raymond, Richard, Bernard and Arthur; and 5 sisters, Dorothy, Marion, Leona, Emma and Anna; and his grandson Maxwell J. Parrotte.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Norma (Langlois) Parrotte, are his 6 sons, Christopher Parrotte and his wife Jamie; Kevin Parrotte, Keith Parrotte, Shawn Parrotte and his wife Sylvia; Craig Parrotte and his wife Song; Timothy Parrotte and his wife Veronica and 3 daughters, Marissa Moore and her husband Scott; Nancy Fasking, and Kristie Payment and her husband Matthew; 18 grandchildren, Abigail Parrotte, Sarah Parrotte, Samuel Parrotte, Meagan Puckett, Kylie Fasking, Devin Fasking, Kenna Fasking, Shawn Davis, Gabrielle Parrotte, Ashley Kornmeyer, Jessica Parrotte, Danielle Dupuis, Nathan Parrotte, Delainey Dowling, Keegan Parrotte, Tristan Parrotte, Aaron Payment, Kaelyn Payment; 9 great grandchildren, Calley Dupuis, Chloe Dupuis, Claire Dupuis, Cora Dupuis, Aurora Kornmeyer, Blake Doelger, Felicity Doelger, Raleigh Doelger, Sadie Lee Puckett; many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. The funeral mass will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 4, at St. Peter's Church with a reception immediately following in the Emmaus Room. Those who wish to remember Lee in a special way may make donations to have a Mass said in his name.
