Margaret > "Peggy" Sherman

Margaret J “Peggy” Sherman, 70, of Westport, NY, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2020 at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital.
Peggy was born on November 29, 1949 in Albany, N.Y. to the late George & Eleanor (Davies) Sherman. She graduated from Guilderland Central High School in 1969.
In the early 1980’s the family moved to Westport where Peggy quickly became a community fixture. She will be remembered for her beaming smile, warm greetings, attending sporting events and generally a love of socializing. Additionally, she was an active member of the Westport Federated Church.
Peggy was predeceased by her parents and one brother, George Jr. Survivors include Sam and Derinda Sherman, twelve other cousins, an extended large family, and special friends/caregivers Lyle and Mary Fielder.
A memorial service will be held at the Westport Federated Church on August 16th at 2pm. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Westport Federated Church, P.O. Box 386 Westport N.Y,
