Margo (Moomey) Burnell

Margo (Moomey) Burnell passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh surrounded by her family.
Margo was born on October 22, 1939 the daughter of Milton and Maxine (Rockwell) Moomey who pre-deceased her. She graduated from Peru Central School.
Margo married her high school sweetheart, Robert (Red) Burnellwho pre-deceased her. She has 3 children and their spouses, Linda (John) McCumber, Bob (Cari) Burnell, Cheryl (Bill) Turner, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters Sandra (Moomey) Lashua and Nancy (Moomey) Fisher, brothers-in-law Earl Burnell and Gene Armstrong, sister-in-law Carol (Halahan) Burnell and many close nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Charles Moomey and sister Marilyn (Moomey) Zielinski.
Margo was retired from NYSEG and went on to continue her career at CVPH Medical Center Women’s Imaging. One of the highlights of her second career was receiving her 15-year anniversary pin by hospital President and COO Michelle LeBeau and her colleagues from Women’s Imaging, who she considered to be a second family.
Margo also worked as Secretary for Morrisonville Fire Department for many years.
There will be no calling hours. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 7th at 11:00 AM at St. Alexander’s Church, Morrisonville with reception to follow.
