Nicholas P. LaCroix

April 21, 1984 — November 20, 2020

Nicholas P. LaCroix, 36, of Cadyville, passed away Friday, November 20th at UVM Medical Center, with his wife by his side.
He was born in Poughkeepsie on April 21, 1984, the son of Brian and Brenda (Noel) LaCroix.
Nick began his career as a Diesel Mechanic at Nortrax Equipment and continued on this path for 17 years until ultimately becoming Service Manager at Woods CRW in Williston, VT in 2019. Nick also fulfilled a lifelong goal of starting his own business earlier this year when he established Nick’s Repair.
No one made laughter, love, and friendship look easier than Nick. He was able to light up a room. He was the kind of guy who would roast you with his brilliant humor, then offer you the shirt off of his back if you needed it, with a loyalty to his family and friends that no one could ever match. He loved the outdoors and was never more alive than when he was driving his side-by-side or his sled, going ice fishing or just spending time in his garage. He loved football and wrestling, and you could always find him watching the NFL on Sunday. Most of all, he loved every minute he spent with his children, and was so proud of them.
He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 20 years, Sarah, and their three beautiful children, Samantha, Zachary, and Jacob; one brother, Brandon LaCroix and one sister, Brittany LaCroix; his mother-in-law, Sheila (Christopher) Hutti and father-in-law, David (Dena) Rock; two sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Nathan) Haley and Stephanie Wyant, eight nieces and nephews; paternal grandparents; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many amazing friends.
Nick was predeceased by his parents, Brian and Brenda; and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Esther Noel.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 24th from 4-7 p.m. at Heald Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 25th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Please remember to follow COVID guidelines while attending and that seating will be limited.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to his family and will be used to start a college fund for his children.
