Nina (Lewis) Allen

Nina (Lewis) Allen, 70, of 76 Johns Brook Lane died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital with her husband, sons and sister, Paula by her side. She was born July 6, 1946 in Lake Placid and was the daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice (Shackett) Lewis.
Nina grew up in Keene Valley and graduated from Keene Central School. She was a member of St. Brendans Church and sang in the choir. She worked for the Keene Valley Library and for the Keene Valley Fire District. Nina loved life.
Her greatest joys were her three sons and grandchildren, and her husband and home.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Craig Allen, who she married August 23, 1980, her three sons; Paul Dubiel, his wife Melanie and their children John and Samantha, Michael Dubiel, and fiancée Sandy and her daughter Sienna, Joesph Dubiel and his daughter Caitlin Abols. Also surviving are one brother, Robert Lewis of Wilmington and two sisters, Paula Lewis and companion Gerald Bruce of Wilmington and Julie Lewis of Elizabethtown.
She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Beatrice Lewis, a sister Nona Duntley, a brother Jeremiah Lewis and a foster sister Elizabeth LaForrest.
Funeral services and burial will be at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in Nina’s memory may be made to Keene Valley Fire department Ambulance fund or North Country SPCA in Elizabethtown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street, Elizabethtown.
