Richard Brinckmann

Richard Brinckmann, 85, of Mason Rd. Lewis, passed away on April 30, 2016 at his home with his wife by his side after a long and courageous battle with many health problems. He was born on May 20, 1930 in Elizabeth, N.J.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a tractor trailer driver and then as a heavy equipment operator in the town of Roselle, N.J.
He is predeceased by his mother and father, and a brother William. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen, and a truly special nephew Frankie Whitten and his wife Marybeth and their children Stephanie and Corey, and his special dog, Cleo. Frankie and his family held a special place in his heart as did Eli Baker a special friend and helper. He is also survived by three daughters from a previous marriage, Darrellyn Sullivan, Patty Williams and Linda Hofman and a sister-in-law Mary Jane Owens.
He truly loved his Adirondacks and spent every moment he could here from the time they bought their property, building a home and fishing as often as he could.
A special memorial service of his life will be held at the Reber United Methodist Church on Friday May 6th at 6 p.m.
There are no words to express the appreciation we have for Patty and Larry Bashaw and the people at the Elizabethtown Hospital. Thank you to Dr DeMuro for saving his life more than once.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in his memory to the North Country SPCA or the Elmore SPCA
