SARANAC Mr. Robert F Bombard, Sr, 75 of Saranac passed away, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his family by his side. He was born in Black Brook, NY on March 30, 1941 son of the late Ernest "Charlie" Bombard and Valda (Douglas) Bombard. Bob retired from Clinton Correctional Facility as a Carpenter after 25 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Bob was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Valda Bombard, three brothers, Joseph, Marvin Sr., Ernie and two sisters Doris Hart and Bonita Winch. He is survived by his companion Shirley Drolette of Saranac, Sheridan Bombard of Peasleeville, four sons, Robert F Bombard Jr. and his companion Azalea Martelli of Cortland, Brian Bombard of Peasleeville, Tyson Bombard of Peasleeville, Maurice Bombard of Peasleeville, daughter Heidi Bombard and her companion Edward Kehn of Schuyler Falls, six grandchildren, Adam and Nate Prentice, Tyler, Allegra, Brianna and Olivia Bombard, four sisters, Rosemarie, Carol, Christine and Cindy. He is all also survived by many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Saranac Vol. Fire Dept or Elmore SPCA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
