Chazy
Robert L. Gravelle, 82, of lake Shore Road in Chazy, passed away Sunday June 21, 2015 at Essex Center for Rehabilitation in Elizabethtown. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 14, 1932 son of the late Donald M. and Florence Evelyn (Barber) Gravelle.
Robert entered the US Army serving in Korea for two years. When he returned to Chazy he ran the family farm for many years. Robert loved farming, sports and his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by two sons; Rob Gravelle and his wife Gia of Florida, NY, Jon Gravelle and his wife Michelle of Chazy, three grandchildren; Kathryn and her companion Brandon Spooner, Austin and Grant, two nephews; Donald Gravelle and his wife Donna of Chazy, Kyle Gravelle and his companion Karen Bourgeois of Chazy, and three great nieces and nephews Mark, Matt and Sara and her companion Andrew Lavalley.
At Roberts request there will be no calling hours. Service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Donations in Robert’s memory may be made to the Chazy Volunteer Fire Department.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh, New York 12901.
