Rodger S Hudson

April 27, 1967 - February 13, 2022

Rodger Scott Hudson 54-year-old, passed away unexpectedly in his Keeseville home, on Feb 13, 2022. Rodger was born April 27, 1967, in Lake Placid NY, the son of Robert Wayne Hudson and Vicki Lynn Swayze. Survived by, Father Robert Hudson and his wife Linda Hudson in Keene Valley, Siblings Steve Hudson, Stacie Collette, Rob Hudson, Lisa Hudson and several nieces and nephews aunt’s uncle’s cousins. A celebration of life with be held at a later and time. Rodger was raised in Keene Valley and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, hiking and camping. He loved summertime and all of us swimming at Champagne falls, and the gorge. He also loved his little Pinto car; I can still see him coming down the road singing “Tears for Fears- Shout.” Sean Baird, his faithful sidekick not far behind. Rodger attended Keene Central School where he enjoyed close friends, chorus, band along with drama. He was an amazing musician and played a mean guitar, as well as drums, and several other instruments. Rodger could sing and mezmorize a crowd. He never knew just how good he was until his recent gigs at local establishments. He called so excited that people clapped and cheered. After graduating from Keene Central Rodger served for the U.S. Navy then settled in Alaska. There he married his now ex-wife, Julia Naylor and together they shared a son, Ethan Alton Hudson currently of Fairbanks Alaska. Rodger became a member of the Carpenters Union and was also a self-employed contractor, he designed homes and built them from the ground up. Beautiful homes, including the home built for his wife and son. Growing up with Rodger, I felt safe knowing he always had my back. I could go to him with anything, no judgement ever. He would always say “no worries baby sis.” Miles and years could pass, but we always picked right up where we left off, unconditional. Non-judgmental accepting us both for where we were, love. I’ve learned over time that not everyone is made like that so I’m thankful for you in my life. The good the ugly, forever and always. Fly high Big Brother. I hope you now have the peace you’ve longed for, for so long until I see you again, I love you. Forever and always.
