Shannon Elizabeth (Rolston) Cashman, 34, of Plattsburgh gained her wings as our angel Friday April 1st. 2016, after a hard fought year long battle with ovarian cancer. She was under the care of Hospice and her loving Mother with the support of her family and friends at the home where she spent most of life in Elizabethtown.
Shannon was born in Plattsburgh on January 19th 1982. She received her Associates Degree from the University of Phoenix. She loved her nephew Ryan Rolston dearly and her world revolved around him.
She was always so full of life and smiling. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her nephew, family and friends.
Shannon is survived by her husband Parker Cashman. Shannon leaves behind her mother, Nina (Mattox) Provost of Elizabethtown, NY, her father, Richard Rolston I of Lewis, NY. She also leaves behind her siblings, Richard Rolston II, Chelsea Provost, Cody Provost, Corey Rolston, Andrew Rolston, Andre Rolston. Her best friend and the mother of her nephew Amber LaDuke. Her special nephew and pride and joy Ryan Rolston. Several other nephews and a niece. Her maternal grandmother Ethel Mattox, and her paternal grandparents Madeline and Richard Blanchard. Her aunts and uncles, Faye (Harold) Reynolds, Gen (Jeff) Crandall, Paul Mattox, David (Bonnie Passino) Mattox, Tom (Deb) Mattox, James (Maria Munoz) Mattox and Dwight (Karen) Rolston. She also leaves behind several cousins and two special step aunts Mary and Jean.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Chester W Mattox, her paternal grandfather Richard M Rolston, her great grandparents on both sides of the family, as well as her cousins Kami Reynolds and Daniel White Jr., her uncle Earl Mattox. She is also predeceased by her mother in law Carolyn Prickett.
Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Marvin-Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street, Elizabethtown. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate all donations in her memory to Essex County High Peaks Hospice, PO Box 192, Port Henry, NY 12974.
