Stanley L. Case

Stanley L. Case 83, resident of both Plattsburgh NY and Haines City Fl, passed away on Saturday February 20, 2021 in Haines City Florida.
Stanley was born on August 3, 1937 in Bancroft Mi, the son of Clyde and Gladys (Skinner) Case. Stanley was married to Janet Ducharme from 6-1-1961 until her death on 3-16-2011. He served in the US Airforce from 1956 - 1961. Stanley retired after 30 years of employment at PSUC and was a lifetime member of the District 3 Fire Department dedicating 40 plus years of service to the community.
A skilled woodworker, a comedian, a firefighter, a soldier, a teacher, a lover of old westerns, and daily allotment of popcorn, and a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Among so many other accolades, these describe Stanley Case. Always supportive in as many ways as he could, be it with his time, help, words, this man touched the lives of so many and left them that much better for it.
There are no adequate words for how his loss leaves us; we can only take heart in knowing that he is at peace now. For the family inside jokes, for the sassy comments under his breath, for the amazing presents he would spend months creating out in his shop for each Christmas, for the nights spent sitting around his kitchen table playing dominoes or Jok-R-Ummy, each memory is always a happy one. He experienced so much, and for all the love he gave and got in return, he truly had a life well lived.
Surviving are his children; Roger Case and his wife Jo, Carey Case and his wife Darcy; grandchildren Carissa, Lee, and Meghan; great grandchildren Hannah, Owen, Emma, and Leo; brother Carl; in-laws Mary Ellen and Richard Seymour, Deanna Conway; and many nieces and nephews. In addition Stanley leaves behind a very special person whom he loved dearly Shirley Matton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 PM Friday May 21, 2021 from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum on Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
