Theresa Mongeon Beebie

Theresa Mongeon Beebie, 94, passed away on Friday, August 28th, 2020 at her home. Theresa was born May 17, 1926 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Arthur and Sophonia (Vincent) Mongeon.
Theresa met her husband, Eugene A. Beebie, right next door as they grew up as neighbors. She waited for him to return from Service in World War II and they married on September 2nd, 1946. They raised 4 children. She was a member of St. Peter’s Parish and worked for many years in the Accounting field before retiring. Theresa had a beautiful singing voice and was a founding member of the Champlain Valley Sweet Adelines. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She shared a special activity with each of her grandchildren. Her granddaughters Emily and Erinn speak about how they learned to cook and bake from Grandma. Theresa spoke about how proud she was of the adults her grandchildren had become. She was a wonderful grandmother who has left lasting memories for each one of her grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by 3 of her children: Michael Eugene Beebie of Dannemora, Peter John and Sheila Beebie of Plattsburgh and Teri-Gene (Beebie) and Curt Conlin of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Joseph Currie of Lake Placid, Emily Conlin of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Erinn Conlin of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Katie Beebie as well as her great-granddaughters Carmen and Alayna. She is preceeded in death by her husband Eugene in 2012, her son Mark Charles in 1992, her sisters Marion and Bertha as well as her great-grandson Jordan Coss.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 Am Thursday September 3, 2020 at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
