Theresa E. Decker, 77, of NYS Route 9N in Elizabethtown, passed away, with her loving family by her side, Thursday August 27, 2015 at her home. She was born in Elizabethtown on January 29, 1938 daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Spellman) Vaughan.
Theresa was Head of Housekeeping at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital for 37 years. Family was the most important aspect of her life. Theresa was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening and working on her house.
Theresa is survived by her five children; Scott R. Decker Jr. and his wife Lisa of Elizabethtown, Lenora Bisacquino and her husband Thomas of Clifton, Va., Lori Wrisley and her husband Kyle of Whallonsburg, Robert J. Decker and his wife Shelly of Smithsburg, MD., Richard J. Decker and his wife Bambi of Mechanicsville, two sisters; Maryann Cross of Howe, IN., Martha Egglefield of Zepherhills, FL., nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one daughter Linda Decker.
The family will receive guests at Theresa’s home from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday August 30, 2015. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
